Sandor Fabian is an independent defense consultant, a PhD student in Security Studies and a graduate teaching assistant at the Political Science Department at the University of Central Florida. He teaches Global Perspectives (INR4008), International Relations Theory (INR4603), and American National Government (POS2041). His areas of research include non-traditional approaches to conflict, civil war, insurgency, (counter-) terrorism, and new concepts of warfare.
Sandor pursued his Master’s degree in Defense Analysis at Naval Postgraduate School as an international military exchange student and received his Bachelor’s degree from the Miklos Zrinyi National Defense University in Hungary.
Sandor separated from the Hungarian military after serving 16 years as a Special Forces Officer at the tactical, operational and strategic levels. During his last assignment Sandor served as the deputy director of Force Readiness Directorate at the NATO Special Operations Headquarters in Mons, Belgium.
Sandor is married to Beatrix and they have one daughter, Bibor Hanga. Sandor and his family currently reside in Oviedo, FL.
